News & Press Releases - [Main Index] Anritsu offers practical advice for WiMAX deployments 2008-06-13 Many new WiMAX network deployments are being announced, and the challenge to deliver high performance wireless broadband networks is now being seen in the field. Anritsu is supporting this industry effort by providing leading edge high quality test tools for the R&D, manufacturing and installation of WiMAX networks.
Click for high resolution image At the WiMAX Forum’s Global Congress 08 in Amsterdam (17-18 June 2008), Anritsu will be highlighting the wide range of WiMAX Test and Measurement solutions, and will be providing the industry with expert insight into the issues associated with field deployment of WiMAX networks, together with a range of practical solutions to enable installers and operators to be sure of the performance and quality of their networks. The Anritsu MT8222A ‘BTS Master’ is a multi-purpose tool for taking measurements during site installation and acceptance testing. It is able to measure a wide range of RF, transmission, reception, and cabling parameters both connected to the base-station and “over the air”. The platform also supports other wireless standards such as GSM/GPRS, WCDMA, TD-SCDMA, & DVB-H/T, to make it a complete tool for evaluating the RF environment. A workshop and whitepaper will be featured to highlight practical issues around field measurement of WiMAX base-stations, and to demonstrate the application of Anritsu solutions. Also on display will be lab tools for R&D and manufacturing use, to test and measure WiMAX solutions including support for MIMO antenna systems. These include the MG3700A Vector Signal Generator and both the MS2690A series and MS2717B Spectrum Analysers.
